Watched Las Vegas '23 highlights. Commentators lauded the amazing stability of the Red Bulls when cornering under braking, lol.

It’s funny how all of us were rightfully laughing at Mercedes for having correlation problems and now Redbull of all teams are struggling the most with it

I still wonder whether Newey informed the FIA about the asymmetric breaking (assuming this existed), either directly or indirectly.

So we just like the FIA are just going to act like we don't know why Red Bull fell off!

F1 fans will be surprised of how good Colapinto is. He has always had mediocre teams and always delivered good results. He is one of the best driver in his generation and I'm happy that Williams made that choice.

I believe that the “fundamental” understeer than oversteer problem always existed on the RB20, but the asymmetrical braking covered it up. Now, they can’t dial out the oversteer on the exit, and let the in-corner brake vectoring dial out the understeer.

Furthermore, who said the asymmetrical braking was controlled by a valve? It can be controlled by the MGU-K assigning regen value to each wheel in a corner, depending on steering wheel position. Under the initial writing of the rules, this would be within the rules, because it only applied to equal application of braking to the pads, themselves. Regenerative brakes do not apply the brakes pads, themselves.

The Red Bull admin now knows what the Mercedes admin went through at the start of the season 😂

The brake balance change was no doubt masking and covering up a lot of problems that the RB20 has. The huge drop and issues they now have to solve did not have to be solved till that really weird rule change.

This season’s F1 viewing figures have rocketed since Red Bull have dropped back into the midfield.

Here’s my theory, Redbull was warned that the clarification in the rules regarding asymmetric braking were coming. The FIA gave them up until a certain time to transition the car. RB made the decision to use Perez as the guinea pig, hence is fall in form. The caveat was that an agreement was struck to extend his contract and also sign an NDA to never talk about it. This also explains his comment after Monza. Max’s fall in form also coincided with the rule clarification which meant that he was now driving the same car as Perez.

As it stands the FIA will not disrupt the rest of the season with anymore checks on the current batch of cars.
With RB in the position they are in, it makes race day far more interesting.

Newey is great, and any team would be fortunate to have him… but if the Orange team can do it without him, so can the Red team… and btw, the Black team did great with 8yr wins without Newey

"Fair Play" for MAX?? with an ILLEGAL CAR??? SMF!

I presume Red Bull's car was designed around the now illegal braking system so this is why they cannot find a quick solution without changing the whole car, and to make it worse, Newey is leaving so next year they have zero clue on how to be back on top.
