In my humble opinion, these two aircraft can potentially be very complimentary to one another. The F-15 is a proven gunslinger and much of the F-35’s track record is not yet established and/or released. Together, these two aircraft should produce some extremely explosive and effective results.

Not necessarily. The f35 has advantage until it runs out of its limited onboard weapons system. When it comes to dogfight at visual range, it will lose. The F15ex has more onboard weapons.

Stealth is great because it makes it harder for you to be targeted. But it comes at a cost. In the case of the F-35 it means limiting its ordinance load to maximize its stealth.

So in its stealthiest configuration the F-35 can strike a few key targets and serve as the eyes and ears of aircraft like the F-15EX that can put more warheads on foreheads.

I think its like the airballoon tanks and trucks they usedin ww2, where the decieved germany, in the north of europe and landed in normandy.

Imagine if the f15ex made the noise and drew the attention in on location, and the f35 strikes stealthy in an other location. Then you have a dream team. Just like an a10 warthog and mbt are for infantry. 😊

I would consider the f15 ex 4, 5 gen fighter

both have very different uses F15 is likw your regular infantry and the F35 is like the special forces personnel
so it would not be fair to compare them

F35 stealth is limited to x-band, so low frequency radars will observe it.

Stealth may win the initial contact with the enemy but eventually something has got to wade in and do some serious ass kicking. F-35 meet F-15EX. Its an extremely potent pairing of very effective aircraft, each with a different role.

The F-35 and F-22 raptor would be dead if detected by an F-15EX. BTW the F-15 EX Eagle 🦅 2 will be the stealthiest F-15 ever and when stealth fails the F-15EX is much faster and far more powerful.

Sigh. The F-35 is NOT a stealth jet. It was built with the sale of the airframe to other countries in mind. It IS a multirole jet but doesn't actually do anything better than the f15
