Just a thought that I had while I was watching this short. It's just a fun short and I'm not trying to hate on anyone just something that I was wondering about while I was watching it. I think that the placement of vowels in the words have a lot to do with how the words sound...I get that the English language has a lot of weird quirks though.

the point vsauce is tryna make is that english spelling is extremely inconsistent, if you take these edge cases and stick them together (gh, o, and ti) then (depending on your analysation of english spelling) it is a valid way of writing "fish" under *some* rules of english spelling

to address your point, if we look at the IPA transcription of "enough" (IPA transcriptions are more accurate representations of how words are said), we get /ɪ.ˈnəf/
the "." here shows a syllable break, meaning "nough" represents the /ˈnəf/ part of the word (the ə symbol represents the "u" sound in "puff") we could then analyse these 3 parts separately: splitting "nough" into 3 parts "n" "ou" and "gh" to represent these sounds separately
however there arent (many) examples of "gh" making the /f/ sound outside of these contexts (eg having vowel letters before it) meaning we can instead analyse "ough" as one quadgraph that represents - in this case - the sequence /əf/

There is no concrete rule with pronunciation in English. The “gh” in enough makes a “f” sound, the “gh” in through makes a “h” sound. Vsauce is kind of making fun of this.
