Well done to steve for pulling off easily the worst parking I have ever seen, effortlessly cool arrival.

Matt: "Do you have 14 inch wheel trims for a Renault Clio? Shop keeper: Seems like a fair swop! 😅

hi, We bought our daughter a 53 plate Clio 1.2 16v in black, slightly higher spec it has the sun roof ! and a/c . The ABS issue is probably one of the relluctor rings on the drive shaft, (available separately from the drive shaft), the scraping sound is more than likely one of the brake pads anti rattle mounting bits touching the disc, you get new ones with a set of pads . The boot floor damage with no cracks or split metal & corrosion and therefore is not an MOT fail. The oil issue - clean it up & check the rocker gasket they can split & leak down the side of the engine / gearbox, or cold be also just careless filling of oil. Rear exhaust mount is normally just the rubber bungee thing. Daughter still has her Clio, bought at 48K now on 125K after 13 years its taken her through Uni and beyond. Her sun roof doesn't leak and the a/c has only needed re gassing once. Rear bearings are cheap and an easy DIY job. Still no corrosion and just had a no advisory MOT a month ago. Cracking car.

Haven’t watched it yet but I just a feeling that some new High Peak plates, buff the headlamps and a cheeky mini valet (£25 well spent) will lift the car!!

There's no corrosion in that list. Do enough to get it through an MOT and leave the advisories to the next owner

I wonder why he lost that full-service

Visit the person you bought it off with the drill in your hand and renegotiate the price😮

No, I love watching your banger videos, as a mechanic the parts alone would make no sense! From memory these boxes always had driveshaft seal issues, yes you could just top up gearbox oil and see if it runs smoother but the damage has probably been done, definitely not one you could flip for any profit without the risk of comebacks!

Talk about being stitched up, I had to watch the video again before I made a comment. Car started ok when collected ? and no warning lights oh yes abs light on and oh lost any paperwork and oh dont need car anymore and oh rear end damage that would make it an insurance claim write off so leave it crumpled and put on another bumper--badly!. Oh and an obvious grinding noise the second you drove it. Fully valeted to make it look like its been cared for. Not sure how some people sleep at nights. Another totally up front honest review Matt.

For a start I'd take the wheel trims off and save them for the next one

Great video Matt. You should consider getting into the scrap / car used spare parts industry as you seem to receive a steady flow of beyond economical repair PX's. I hear its very lucrative now. You could call it "Peaky Grinders" (grinding used cars down for spares). Wishing you better luck with the next one.

Had a 97 Clio four door. It had the sunroof, which was helpfully situated above the immobiliser sensor, so that anytime it rained the car wouldn’t start. When it did start if went through wheel bearings like they were made of butter, the exhaust fell off, the clutch finally gave out and I said no, no more. Every two weeks something went wrong. It was my first car but seeing Matt trying to start it brought back a lot of frustrating memories

I saw the word Renault, I had to click straight away! I’m a big Renault fan boy…

I driven a relatives 05 plate Clio, I know the exact smell you’re on about! 😂

I’d personally wouldn’t do the work, it’s gonna cost a fortune
