Thank you for this Andreas, my DX10 measures 2.3A to 2.6A on RX (depenting on settings and fan speed) which I find unnaceptable for portable use - especiaccialy when my 7300 only draws 0.8 to 1.1A max. Pure SDR does have its advantages... sometimes.

thanks for the video, if you use it with 50W output, ciould you estimate battery life? asuming 20% tx and 80% rx?
I want to buy a 710 but will need a better battery, my idea is tx with 50W max.

30 AMP power supply is more than enough.

doesnt that thing get hot♨ in receive mode ? Doesnt the fan then get on? that's an ammount of current it takes in reception, i think it will get hot. with a current draw like that its not for portable operation, battery will be drawn empty soon.
