Correct way of chanting Mrityunjaya Mantra

Mrityunjaya Mantra benefits can be maximised when it is chanted in the Vedic intonations. Ideally it should not be sung musically. It has to be chanted with intonations to get maximum benefits. It is a very powerful mantra found in the Rig and Yajur Veda. Especially in the last Anuvak or Paragraph of Rudram or Namakam portion of the Yajur Veda. In this reel each line is chanted twice so that you listen for the first time and repeat the next time. It is chanted continuously after the learning aid is completed.
This mantra bestows longevity, holistic health, averts calamities, prevents untimely death and removes fears. Especially when it is chanted with the awareness of the meaning.
It can also be chanted for the wellbeing or health or speedy recovery of your family, friends, anyone.
The word to word meaning is:
Om Tryambam Yajamahe - I worship the 3 Eyed God
Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam - Who is fragrant & a nourisher of health.
Urvarukamiva bandhanaan - Like a cucumber(detaches from its creeper), from bondage,
Mrityor Mukshiya - Liberate me from (the fear of) death.
Maa - Amritaat - May I not neglect Immortality.
I worship the 3 Eyed God, Who is fragrant & a nourisher of health. Like a cucumber(detaches from its creeper), Liberate me from bondage & (the fear of) death. May I not neglect Immortality.
