Video from Houston before and after Harvey shows devastating flooding, with water concealing some of the surrounding area and deluging highways.

As Hurricane Harvey hit coastal Texas it turned into a Tropical Storm. What forecasters didn't foresee was the amount of rainfall it would dump onto Houston and the ensuing flooding.

That's just terrible. But it's a very well made video too, I didn't realize it was that bad

You wanna cry looking at this. If you are Houstonian then you really feel the pain. The storm won't leave Houston until Thursday or Friday from what I've seen in the news.

Houston is one of the biggest cities and a lot of it just got tooken out. It's sad how many people are gonna have to restart or try to get back on track with their lives after losing literally everything they own. Man if you live in Houston I hope you guys are all safe, it's bad out here.

Really sad to see that. My prayers for people of Houston. Also I wonder how can people still leave racist comment on a natural calamity like this..

Houston Strong!! That was the slogan to get the city back on its feet. We’ve been through these disasters many times but we always come back stronger.

I don't think people realize just BIG things REALLY are in Texas. This water is over, what we call, the spaghetti bowls. That is 100 feet up sometime. I am one street from going under . . . prayers. :/

On a positive note, we got to miss a week of school lol. I know some schools flooded out, but hopefully we can get back to school soon...
Aside from that, the flood has gone down a bit in some areas like mine. My family was able to come back to Houston after evacuating. Blessed to only have minor damages to our home. We'll probably have to replace the flooring and some parts of the ceilings and walls. Hopefully everyone recovers and stays safe. I wish the best for the ones who's homes were destroyed. 🙏🏽
Make sure to help and donate to Houston, every dollars counts. Even my family donated...

Thank you for posting this. I have met so many people that thought this was fake. I almost lost my life with this storm. Thank you for the comparison
