Thanks Chef Tom for firing this up. Seems like an exciting, compact pellet cooker with the Kamado look. $2K is a bit steep for such a small cooking area, with no real way to do indirect and direct cooking at the same time.

The explanation and detail of the joe were truly exceptional.

This would be great for those who love the Kamado style cooker but don't care much to mess with the lump charcoal... it can get messy. Plus, the quality of Kamado Joe is "premium" and has many optional accessories. The heat retention of the ceramic Kamado KJ would most likely use much less pellets than the conventional pellet cooker. So I'd say price is not to far off if you are saving in the cost of pellets. I have the Yoder YS640S and it eats 20lbs of pellets with a 10 - 14 hour cook. If you buy the cheap pellets you'll really know it from the food you cook, you get what you pay for in pellets. 2K$ doesn't seem too bad if you save in pellets over time. According to Tom, the 10lb hopper when full, provides 14hrs of cook time. That's half of what it takes on my YS640S. The trade off might be a money saver over time. Looks awesome as well! Very interested in the reviews of the KJ pellet cooker after some people go with it.

Great demo and I sure wish I could afford one. maybe one day... The max temp and searing capabilities is definately something for the competition!

Nice looking smoker/cooker.
I'm still impressed with a Weber 22" kettle for $100 even though I still have one from the 1980's that is a chocolate brown color. Still cooks good, easy to use and clean. I'll doubt I'll ever need WiFi on my BBQ grill.

Thanks for the overview.

I love Kamado style cookers.

I love pellet grills.

I just don’t need one pretending to be the other.

Kamado kills it again. Great engineering and seems like it can please minimalists (I understand that this is a Cadillac kind of minimalist) and people that want app control. The money design feature to me is the auger moves vertically and I would assume keep problems away from the “pellet hopper”. Thanks chef Tom.

It seems like a great pellet grill with a lot of features, but you can get both a solid pellet grill (Don't go cheap on pellet grills, I learned this from experience) and a kamado style grill for the $2000 price.

Like others have said, 2k is pretty expensive for a smaller cooking area. I’ve got a GMG pellet grill and if I’m going to upgrade, it’s going to be a YS640s.

Is that ‘air’ sound coming from the grill at 5:17? Sounds pretty noisy and irritating to me. Food looks good!

Seems like a huge departure from what they created initially. I know Yoder does both but their pellet grills are built with ease of use in mind ( top loaded pellets) as opposed to shoveling pellets like a titanic engineer coal loader...just to make it look like their wood burners.

Love this product, but there's no way I'm paying this price. Thanks for the video.

Thought the idea of getting was being out door and working with your grill, may as well set the table out side cook inside and bring food out, so many gadgets it now in all grills pellet kamado, why grill at all. But as always great review

How can I keep the drip tray clean. It has sticky deposit from my chicken cook.

is the auger in this pellet grill set on am incline to keep the pellets from getting ignited when it gets shut down. It's a problem that plagues most grills as the auger is set on a flat horizontal plane and increases the chances of back burn into the pellets loaded in the auger?

Does allow you to dump the unused pellets?
Thanks
