The other reason an AC unit leaks, especially if leaking when it rains, is the gasket between the RV roof and the AC. It is a black foam large square gasket with a square 14" hole in middle. You may be able to see it from the inside if you take the filter down. Make sure your AC unit is not loose. Do not over tighten. To replace you need to pull the AC. This is easy though. There are vids. When I did this, I did not remove the shroud at all. One trick is do not remove all the wires the go the box you see attached to the shroud at minute 1:14. Instead remove the box from the shroud from inside the RV. You can see it looking up. Then unplug the multi-pin connected from that little box to the AC. Now the AC is free from the RV and you can lift it up and turn it over to fix the gasket.

Wow, you made it look so easy and mine is so high I am afraid to go all the way up. And I mine started leaking water and then stopped and still leaks water when it’s not even on. Has to be this.

It sounds like it could be this that is causing the leak. It could also be from your ac freezing up from a refrigerant leak, or even an issue with a poor seal. The only way to find out is to get up there and take a look. Do you have a way to access your roof?
