Got it installed in my 2016 Golf GTI performance. The sound is really loud, I believe louder than most of other after market exhausts especially when cold start. More surprisingly, I can hear very obvious backfire sound (pops and bang) in low gear, and shifting from 1 to 2, and 2 to 3. That is so awesome! When the car is going uphill, the sound is loud. But when you are cruising on the highway at 60-70 mph, you can barely hear some sound from the exhaust but I wouldn't consider it as drone at all.

Hey Borla, quick question. What is the difference between this exhaust, part number 140750, and the other Mk7 exhaust, part number 140597. Just curious because they're both for the Mk7 (not the Mk7.5) and I was interested in purchasing the 140597 but saw this video shows an exhaust with a different part number. Thanks!

Looking into buying this exahust! I was just curious... does every model come with the optional resonater? I want to do non resonated, but just in case, id like the option to add one later if its too loud.

i just bought this and installed it about a month ago and it’s great. one thing keeps coming up though it makes this weird high pitched sound almost like a whistle in high rpm’s and i took it to my shop and he said everything looked ok so if anyone could tell me if they had this experience with theirs also that would be great i’m thinking it’s just the exhaust breaking in but i’m not sure.
