I made this pool heater in about 2 hours give or take.
Best to use at night to maintain water temperature and also because there is a lot of smoke.

It can be cheaper and easy if you find some scrap metal
Cut it with angle grinder and weld it all together it's simple

Very cool build. I think that is a super concept. Simple to make. Good advice on the welds.
Would be interested in knowing how long the pool stayed warm after the fire went out.
One observation is I would make the water capacity of the stove greater by increasing the size difference of the two sections, and adding a section under the floor.
Have even seen the chimney done the same way. 
And also increase efficiency by adding a door to reflect heat back into the boiler.

It sounds like this is not your first build .. It appears to have worked well.. Have you considered using cast iron radiators as a heat exchanger? Im thinking cast iron radiator or maybe a car radiator in a 55gal drum laying flat with a small chimney and oil burning rocket stoves to heat it.. I am a bit worried I will not have enough BTU without air injection to the burner
