Hi there. What’s the hose’s diameter? Did you connect the pump directly to the outlet? The pump is for 12v. And DC current. Do I need to buy a DC source?

Can you share the connections you used to hook to mats.

Thanks for the video! Is there any way to control the flow rate on the pump to keep the water in the heater longer to maximize heat?

Thank goodness I finally get how it should work. Hooked up a couple days ago using products you suggested, a single HQST 100 W 12 V Monocrystaline solar panel powers the pump. We live in AZ so we have plenty of sunshine. I know nothing of solar and it was but a click in place. My pump intake and output is kind of frankensteine'd and having to use super glue to bond the "water solar panels" where the hoses connect as they leaked like crazy where they join together. Hopefully will hold it together with out any leakage, any suggestions? ICan you also send the instructions for the intake and output hoses also how you connected to the bilge pump? I had a fun time finding pieces for that and 4 trips to get the items, we live close. Including where to get the pieces. Much appreciated. I wanted to add I had 2 water hoses that I hooked to the pump since that was working fine while I am bonding the other hoses for the solar mats together and the water is coming from the pool at 72-80 degrees at its warmest and pumping in all the time at 89 degrees and the pool water is holding at 80 degrees for much longer, 7ft deep, this is the second day it has been on. Before the pool was not reaching 80 degrees, I know it takes a few days to raise pool temp, it is not enough to heat the pool but it definitely holds the temp longer. Run the pump from 11-4pm. And have gas heater going but in the colder weather it was only holding at 77-78 degrees. This definitely works!!! And it is 1/3 of what it should take to heat the pool. Hoping to add 1 new set every year for the next 3 years. *** UPDATE Those solar panels were leaky I should have just returned them. The pumped worked for about 2 weeks - they did replace it . I just hooked up the new one and it worked wonderfully for about 3 hours - Worst than the first one! I notified them and waiting for their response. OH I see that it was a different brand of pump PUMPLUS it didn't work. I wish I had seen this when the other pump was available I cannot find them anywhere!

What are you plugging the 12 volt 5.4 Amp pump into? Are you using a transformer to plug directly into 110 AC?

Read the comments on how to connect the water hose to the mats. Went to Home Depot and couldn't find anything that would work. Is it possible for you to add a picture of the adapter for connecting the hose to the mats? By the way I have an in-ground pool.
Thanks,
Ken

Questions: 1) Does this method heat the pool at night/does the water the retain the heat to some degree? 2) What are your temps outside when you achieve a degree spike? I’m on the East Coast where it’s 80 and will go down to 70 by the end of October.

This looks like a great idea. The solar mat link, however, does not work. Do you have another link for them?

Does the pump have enough power to move the water for that many meters?

Excellent video. How do you connect the pump to power? It looks like it does not have a plug, but wires???

Man it was impossible to find these, people be selling these pads for $54-$75 each.
I was lucky enough to get two 3 packs for $99 each (so 6 pads for $200).
Going to order a pond pump from Amazon, but curious if you just used garden hose to hook up the intake and discharge?
Also I assume all the fittings/tubes to daisy chain multiple pads together were included in the package?
Thanks in advance. Appreciate your video, cuz I was going to go the DIY route and this saved me a sh!t load of time and effort.

Hello, like the idea. I have a 21’ above ground pool. How many mats can I get away with? 1 or 2? Let me know, my pool is about 11, 000 gallons. Thanks, Joe
