This video is honestly underrated. It is ridiculously difficult to find an even closely accurate description of Corporatism on YouTube.

Pure Capitalism is the free market. Corporatism is what we are dealing with now. And they blame Capitalism for all the problems corporatism has caused.

Corporatism is actually better defined as class unity and decision making in the big scale. your thinking of is closer to a corporatocracy which is where large corporations can outright buy protections against competition.

This is a very simplistic view failing to understand the complexity of it. Wolff has not explained that corporatism is a marriage of big corporation and big State (i.e. a joint venture of capitalism and socialism), whereby both work hand in hand to benefit each other in a fascistic manner. Giovanni Gentile (creator of fascism) was going to call his philosophy "corporatism" at time but instead went with fascism. Indeed the corporations got to their positions via capitalism, but the State using it's natural socialistic ways to aid big corps to keep smaller businesses down via high taxation, h&s legal regulations, subsidiaries (funded by your taxpayer money like electric cars) and market regulation/interventionism (therefore there isn't a free market if government are involved) in order to drown out any new competitors to make sure the big corps always stay on top. The big corporations can then "tax avoid" (legal, not "tax evade") as can afford to pay expensive lawyers to do so. So when many socialistic-minded people advocate for government mandatory high taxes, they are in fact unknowingly helping big corps as thy can afford to tax avoid, whereas smaller businesses cannot and due to the government interventionism doing this, the smaller businesses go out of business. Big corps then reward the State via donations to political campaigns to those politicians/law-makers (of any party) who helped them. The solution is to cut off the ability for law-makers to interfere into the market and actually therefore have a free market. Any government regulation into the market is therefore NOT a free market. If big capitalist corps cannot essentially reward politicians to keep smaller businesses down via socialistic methods, big corporations would not exist half the time as they do as there would be more competitive businesses rising. Big corps essentially use socialism (i.e. the State) to block any new competitors, which law-makers are happy to work with big corp for mutual benefits.

Thought the entire format was a little tacky. Didn't like the special effects for each line, the colour scheme nor the music. Overall good summary though.

Thanks for the concise descriptions, even though I disagree with parts like "corporatist society is the political community that MUST work for the individuals self-fulfillment and happiness". To me this is description is an idealist one... I find that corporatist society dangles your self-fulfillment and happiness in front of you like a carrot on a string. If you haven't experienced this then you have never stood up for yourself against corporate power structures.
