Find any rafter angle with only a Speed Square and Chalk Line!!

In this video I show an easy way to find any roof pitch for an existing rafter.

Hey man! Awesome video.
I'm trying to repair a roof joist this was super helpful for the ridge board side but I noticed the side attached to the top plate ( sry if I got carpentry terms wrong I'm an electrician) is cut as well at an odd angle and I'm wondering do I just mirror the angle I cut for the Ridgeline? Cool video though. Short and to the point. Thank you

dont forget to say read the opposite side of the line where you were pointing to find the pitch so its not inaccurate.

I was searching for this information for weeks. Years of typhoons, Earth Quakes, Monsoon cloudburst heavy rain, moisture wood rot means it is DIY replace Roof TIME!

New King Rafter, all Vally rafters, but cutting the valley rafter ends for accuracy was confusing to my 80 year old brain.

Now with my Chinese Speed square, short bubble level I am on my way to the attic.
