Steve is the reason I grew up reading nothing but animal books. I watched animal planet more than cartoons because of him. One of the best men that has walked this earth and I'm so glad to see Robert continuing his dad's work. We'll never have him back, but I hope people like Robert Irwin and Forrest Gallante can inspire the next generation like Steve did us.

I've looked up to him since I was 4. He's the reason I aspired to be a zoologist as early as 8 years old, and the reason I'm saving up for college to do so now. And yet, a cruel irony never escapes me; that the man I've admired as far as I can remember died on my 3rd birthday. R.I.P Steve, you will never be forgotten.
