To many people don’t allow enough of a time buffer by getting to the bus stop at least five minutes early. Buses are not trains. They have to deal with traffic. The eight o’clock bus might come at 7:56 and he isn’t going to stop at an empty stop. Five to fifteen minutes early is the rule I was taught. The farther down the route, the earlier you need to be.

Have your fare ready and be courteous. Stand back from the curb so that the bus can safely pull in and after exiting, wait until the bus leaves before crossing the street. That includes the cross street. Safe travels!

Remember when loading a bike onto the bus, do not leave any of your belongings on the bike when having it on the bike rack.
