Thanks a lot for posting this video. This was the issue in my Panther 440 that was stuck in reverse. One of the pins had snapped and the other two were in bad shape.

Just wanted to say thank you for saving us 600 bucks quoted repair bill. We got the backing plate and springs for 16 bucks from our local shop. The oil almost cost more than that. Thanks again!

do you have a picture or video of what the chain case looks assembled before you put the cover on? I'm trying to figure out how tight the bottom gears are suppose to look.

Great video but my only question is. How tight/ loose do you make the spring bolt that holds the gears together? I must've had it too tight as it would shift into reverse so i backed the bolt out a little and it shifts but springs back into forward. I don't wanna loosen that bolt too much as it hold the gears together but it seems like it could be loosen a little more.

How much tension do you put in the chain tensioner winding before you fasten it?

Will this fix my 95 cougar that won't go forward, so it had to be rode 1/4 mile home in reverse? (reverse also stopped working the next day when moving the sled)?

Just got a 2000 Pantera and it won't shift into forward. I bet it could be this same issue. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the video. Got a 600 zrt triple that grinds when put into reverse. It does not engage just grinds. Forward works still but having no reverse kinda sucks with a heavy sled. Hopefully it is similar issue.

I have a 99 Pantera 580 that is stuck in neutral. going to attack it tomorrow, wondering if the gearing will be the same. my shift lever actually goes in on the front side of the chaincase though. thanks.
