If your iPhone 12 is not responding or you are having any software issue, you will need to force restart / reset / reboot your iPhone 12 to fix the issue. In this video we show you how to do the following method to force restart: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button. This method will not delete or erase any of your data or information.

I've been holding it down for 2 mins, the apple logo hasnt appeared, just completely black screen
