Abby is the one who *”brained washed”* her and manipulated her against her friends.

She literally made Maddie work like a *robot* and pressured her to the point she needed therapy like the others. She may not have the worst experience and trama but that’s a lot stress/pressure, and all for what?

Abby is deflecting. The parents were fighting, so I hugged her. Just cause you bought her point shoes, doesnt mean you didnt traumatize her.. Abby will never admit shes wrong and she was abusive...😅

Well, Abby, just to name a few things:
1. Gave the kid such a perfectionist complex that the first time she messed up on the show it sent her into a fullblown panic attack.
2. Corerced, manipulated, and forced her to have her first kiss (as a CHILD) on national television, even though she stated multiple times that she was uncomfortable with it.
3. Turned her and all of her friends against each other so she had virtually no peer support.
4. Turned her against her own sister.
5. Got her so accustomed to a toxic environment that when she worked her first true professional job for Sia she was amazed at how nonzstressful it was to make a tiny mistake, which in turn primed her to accept anything better than your treatment as good and normal - this made her vulnerable to abuse.
6. Normalized dressing a child up in skimpy, sə×ualiżəd clothing and risque dancing to be paraded around not only at free-to-the-public dance competitions, but national television, putting her at significant risk for abuse as well as normalizing being treated as a səxual to a CHILD.

Need I go on? She was a child that didn’t know it was wrong or know how to (or that she could) say no (which I doubt she felt like she COULD say no, with all the gulit tripping and manipulation). Just because she was a child that trusted the adults that were supposed to protect her does not mean Abby is without fault.

An adult that was actually trying to protect that child would have told them all to build strong peer relationships, given them lots of training on how to spot manipulation and grooming in professional environments, and made darn sure those children looked and danced like children every time they were in public view.

Also notice how Abby willing to consider the excuse that Maddie could have been brainwashed into no longer wanting anything to do with Abby… but she never used or even thought of that excuse for any other child. She always said the others were “ungrateful users who are playing victim”

Abby can’t fathom that Maddie wouldn’t want anything to do with her so she has to make up BS like Maddie getting brainwashed to delude herself.

The thing is doing all that doesn’t erase the amount of trauma she had from every always saying she was perfect and they expected nothing less, her own friends were put against her and she was always supposed to be the best. Some fun time together will never make up for it

Abby she literally traumatized people you sat there and yelled at maddie and MacKenzie on the last week of the show because they didn't get a photo with you so ofc maddie would be traumatized after you yell at girls

she answered her own damn question “why did she spend time with me ? because she was a child”. she didn’t know any better and obviously she didn’t want to bite the hand that fed her, she saw first hand what fighting with abby did to her friends so her and her mom played nice.

Trauma is complicated. Especially when it's centered around something you love to do. Also, hey parents are to blame for not letting Maddie take a break as opposed to continue working with that coach.

i understand the comments but i can also understand why abby would be confused. she’s just saying maddie loved being with her and was around her every chance she got willingly. it’s not like maddie hated being there and wanted to get away. no she wanted to be there. ofc abby is confused. but ofc that show was so much to deal with as a child i understand maddie as well. i see both sides honestly

Honestly, I can tell Abby is evil because my stepdad used to do this. Exactly this he would take away a little pieces of the truth. And remix the story so it sounds perfect like nothing happened. They take out all the important information that could be traumatizing and they just replace it with fun little memories of you going out with them to dance class😪. this woman seems narcissistic as hell but of course I can’t say for sure
