Geronimo did more jumps than most soldiers of the 101st and got his own personal harem as part pf his GI benefits.

Im a Wildlife Biologist, and you could write a book on all the wacky methods we use in this line of work. We catch turkeys using a net attached to literal rockets. We airdrop fish like a C130 to stock lakes. We catch Elk by sending a guy in a helicopter with a NET GUN. Low funding, sparse manpower, and remote locations are a breeding ground for innovation.

You paint an imaginative picture of some dedicated folks strapping angry beavers on high strung horses to pack into the wilderness. Fun job, high stakes, low returns. And that ONE beaver riding the parachuting box like SlimPickins riding The Bomb in Dr. Strangelove.
Keep 'em coming.

Beaver Captain Geronimo: "Alright, listen up! This is coming from high command directly. Our job is simple. Make landfall. Head to the nearest water source. Dam it up. We'll hold until reinforcements arrive. In the meantime we gotta keep those dams up and blend in with the locals. Intel says they're friendly but keep an eye out for hostile forces. Just remember your training and you'll come out of it alive. Link up."

As a native Idahoan that’s the most Idaho story I’ve ever heard in my life. Just yeeting beavers out the back of an airplane with parachutes. I love my state.

That guy absolute man handling the beaver into the box. There was no fear. I’m pretty sure the beaver knew if he bit the man, he’d get bit back. Ah yes, grandpas generation was like no other.

Geronimo, an old beaver passed his breading age/prime. Dropped with 3 females and established a thriving community... nothing like a few air drops to get that libido going.

Ngl, “Operation: Beaver Drop” sounds like a fun euphemism I would 100% believe was created by a bunch of veterans, but the reality is no disappointment either.

6:56, 12 jumps are more than I did with the 36th Airbourne Brigade, Texas National Guard.
I hope to heck that Geronimo was getting jump pay!

6:26 "They named him Geronimo, because they're a bunch of meatheads and that shit's funny." Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Two very useful things I learned from this video...
1) An overheated and dried out Beaver is a recipe for disaster and....
2) If you see Beavers with Airborne patchs on their sleeves decending rapidly on your AO, don't be brave, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!! Once they land and set up a perimeter, its all over.

This guy could do a video about that time a soldier walked on the grass and I'd watch. Always great story telling.

I love how they hooked Geranimo up with the best spot and some honeys. That was the Heineken Beaver, the most interesting Beaver on the planet. As a fisherman I had a dislike for them for the longest time, til I realized they create little fishing pockets in creeks that you can use as long as you don’t bug their dam. Had some good fishing upstream by their dams over the years.

Anyone else impressed with TFE's ability to find the ONLY clip in the history of the recorded entertainment industry of a scene of someone talking about not killing, but relocating beavers? Also, congrats to Geronimo for earning his jump wings.

This old beaver earned his jump wings. Also, he had the energy of a toddler going 'let's do that again!'

Your reference to the tensions between Minnesota and Iowa is very real. It has gotten so bad that lately Iowegians have been taking sticks of Dynamite and chucking them across the border. The Minnesotans aren't blameless either. They light them and throw them back.
