How to setup your PS4 Controller on dolphin emulator on Android to play GameCube Games

ANDROID TUTORIALS

GAME EXAMPLES SNAPDRAGON 750G

Dolphin is a free and open-source video game console emulator for GameCube and Wii[27] that runs on Windows, Linux, MacOS, and Android.[28]

It had its inaugural release in 2003 as freeware for Windows. Dolphin was the first GameCube emulator that could successfully run commercial games. After troubled development in the first years, Dolphin became free and open-source software and subsequently gained support for Wii emulation. Soon after, the emulator was ported to Linux[29] and macOS.[30] As mobile hardware got more powerful over the years, running Dolphin on Android became a viable option.

Dolphin has been well received in the IT and video gaming media for its high compatibility, steady development progress, the number of available features, and the ability to play games with graphical improvements over the original consoles.

Thanks for the video man ! I need just to share something about the analog stick issue, if it's doesn't work, you need to enable every app on you accessibility phone settings :) ( my English is not very nice sorry about that )

To anyone having issues setting up any type of controller, it seems like the main controller settings arent being used for some reason. You have to set them up for each individual game by pressing and holding the game icon down until a menu pops up then choose "edit game settings" then change the settings you want from there. If you have alot of games, this is time consuming to do it for each game but it seems to be the only way I could get it to work. Dont know if there was a recent update that broke something (all my apps auto update) but it was working fine a few days ago. So if anyone has problems, this is a work around. Also let's you set your graphics settings for each game too. Instead of using one setting for all games. Definitely helps if you have some games that have severe fps drops on higher settings while other games run fine. I had to do this for wind waker and the metroid prime games. I'm running the galaxy tab s7+. For a $900 tablet, most games run fine on 720p but a few have to be set lower lol.

It's not working. I got the remote conne ted through bluetooth. I pull the input this where you assign buttons, but when I click the button I want to assign it doesn't work. Then after the little menu disappears as I'm hitting X button it activates the top option of the list. What am I doing wrong?

Edit:I restarted the app and it worked fine afterwards. I guess the app needed a refresh

Thanks, you saved me! I thought this one emulator in particular wouldn't support my DS4 but you showed me otherwise.

I found out if you press and hold the game in the main menu another menu pops up and you have to set up the controller there. Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm struggling to make my DS4 work with Dolphin on my Poco F2 Pro. After wirelessly pairing controller everything works fine. I can use all buttons and analog sticks to navigate through menus etc. but when I want to map buttons in Dolphin I can't map D-Pad and both analogs. The other thing is that mapped buttons are named Virtual:Button96, Virtual:Button96 and so on. I've tried with couple of my DS4, Dualsense and ProController and it is the same. Any advice?

Sadly, configuring my analog sticks doesn't work. It works for AetherX2 and PS EMU but doesn't work for either of Dolphin Emu or Dolphin MMJ😰😫I can download games and all but cant play because the buttons work but analog and D- Pad doesn't. And I've tried both PS4 and XBOX controllers 😰

For some reason on mine only the shoulder buttons and the four right buttons are recognized (X, O, Square, triangle).
The D-Pad won't recognized when you try to input them.
Any solution for this?

Edit: oh and my autoclick is turned off in the phone accessibility setting.

What type of phone are you using the emulator on?
your game is running smoothly on 60fps when mine barely can hit 30fps
