Ed said something that really struck me. "Punishable by fine means legal for a price." That is a perfect encapsulation of the issue we have with corporate America.

The three Sackler brothers, Arthur, Mortimer, and Raymond were all M.D.s., as is Richard Sackler. They are despicable and knew exactly what they were doing.

How in this green earth can these horrible people be free and wealthy. Why is El Chapo in prison and they aren't?

Street dealers get 20 years. Billionaire dealers get immunity. You gotta love America.

The government needs to put them in jail and confiscate everything they own like they do to poor drug addicts.

Shouldn't our system hold people with more power *more* accountable?

This reporter should’ve given evidence in court. How can anyone listen to this and NOT find them culpable?

Drug dealers wearing high heels and a suit. I like the fact that Amy Goodman reports the news HOW IT IS. Unlike other channels, she never attempts to curve the opinion of her viewers because she respects those viewers, knowing that they have a mind of their own and can decide what is truth.

Purdue claims that oxycontin was safe and effective if taken as directed, but that's explicitly untrue. They said the medication was supposed to last for 12 hours, knowing that it would wear off after only 8. When the patients would ask their doctors about taking a smaller dose three times a day, the doctors were instructed to urge patients to stick to a 12-hour dosing schedule, but to increase the dosage. The addiction was absolutely by design.

I mean get out the pitchforks and torches.. we need LOTS of people out in the streets. To make it clear corporate drug dealers get the same treatment as street drug dealers. Maybe even worse treatment. This is not the kind of country I want to live in. Where the amount of money you have affects the justice you receive or don't receive. Sheer lunacy!

There is no exact description of what evil on earth must look like. This devious family does however do a good job .

On top of that they made pain the fifth vital sign and they forced nurses to medicate anyone with a pain level over 5.

I was at my folks house the other day & was subjected to broadcast tv for the first time in ages. Every ad... every single ad was for drugs... drugs drugs drugs drugs pickup trucks and more drugs. Its all ads for drugs on TV.
And then the news people came back on and started talking about politics and suddenly nobody wanted to talk about drugs. What drugs are our politicians on? How does it effect their decisions? If youre too drugged up to operate heavy equipment, why are you still allowed to run the country?
We need to pass a law that requires all public office holders to disclose what drugs theyre on.
