At the end of this video you show us how to do the same thing with a custom task.. which is effectively the same thing. What I'm trying to understand is why you would want to do that? Why have two application install nodes? Is it so you can still pick and install apps during the task sequence but then also have some force installed?

I was wondering, do you have a video on best practices using the windows update feature in the task sequences? I would like to be able to update my image from the wsus during deployment.

this is helpful, I'll put my 3rd party apps (chrome, Firefox, acrobat DC, Java) in a bundle and just push that. much easier.
question though, I realize you've got some Lenovo set up. how do you source and manage your drivers? I currently use thinkvantage update retriever, download the updates per machine type model, export from tvur and then import into MDT.
file structure would be Windows 8.1 > x64 > ThinkPad W541 (20EF).

appreciate the video! Been looking into this as we typically use a thick images currently. this could be a better way for us. Are you by chance going to MS Ignite conference this year?

How would you install an application that requires an answer file. As an example I have an application that after installing it asks for the server name, ok, finish. let me know please.
