MDT 2013 allows you to do a multicast communication between a single sender and multiple receivers on a network.

Support the video by giving it a "LIKE", it will help me out.

Not just slow network... Ones such as school environments where you need to push out a lab of 30-40 machines at once. Thanks again for the awesome tutorials Bernard!

Hi BTNHD Thank you so much for your useful video trainings they are very helpful. I have a question if you can show/explain how can I configure my mdt, dhcp or switch so that I can image my computers from different subnets in the company
currently our mdt is configured such that I can only image computers in that subnet/network. but currently we are supporting computers in a different subnets/network and I want to extend/expand our mdt to support those computers too

So the advantage of multicast is only seen when the network is slow? Is that less FastEthernet? Less? I deploy to many machines at once with LTI but I don't use multicast. What am I missing out on?

Great videos. Got me started.

Question if anyone is here - I see "Install Operating System" with "Multi-cast Transfer XX%".
After it gets to 100% it changes to "Install Operating System" with just a percentage progress bar.

Is it copying the WIM file down to the target station and then extracting it? Meaning we need to have enough space for the WIM and the extracted version at the same time. My images get over 200GB and in some labs the hard drive is only 250GB.

Thanks

Late to the party but I just turned off multi-cast and it worked w/o having to update the deployment share.
