Back n Forth (Sum Total) | Manisha

It was back in 2013 in New York where I saw 3 dancers dancing to a poem in the most beautiful way I had seen till then. It left me overwhelmed, enough to recall it 4 years later, now.

That, for me, opened the possibility of movement outside music. I, then, started looking for a beautiful poem to dance to. The wait seemed endless, I could not find the best fit and as luck would have it, I stumbled upon this..

This poem speaks about life being beautiful but still not "it", the difference between almost being there and being there. And that's what hit the hardest.

We tend to find complacency in almost perfection and that's the worst one can do with their art, not exploring the potential to its fullest.

A poem which inspired me and will continue to do so, here is a little journal of the same…
