If you check either windy or the joint typhoon warning centre, Mawar is diverting North, not making landfall even in Luzon.

Don't stress, the typhoon;s path is headed towards the Northern Philippines. That's the Ilocos and Batanes. Not sure if Metro Manila is even affected.

That’s just the 2nd typhoon to enter PAR and there will be more in the coming months as the rainy season starts. This weather disturbance is normal for us in the Philippines. Good for you guys in Siargao, it will not hit you directly. It’s not even predicted to make landfall but definitely it will bring more rain all over the country. You guys are safe there so don’t worry. Pray for those in Luzon.

Its local name is Betty and it will hit more the most northern part of Luzon like Batanes although it might rain too in other parts of the country.
