As a fairly new photographer looking to soak up all kinds of info, I want to congratulate you on making the lessons easy to understand and so incredibly practical.  I love your videos!  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This place is amazing, Josh! And, also, your videos really helped me grow as a photographer. I bought a Canon 700D (T5i) about 10 days ago and some of your tips made a HUGE difference! Thanks for the channel and being so good at making these videos.

Nice tips Josh. I think another mistake photographers make is, well, not getting out there to take pictures. I live in Arizona so it's tough to get out when it's 110, so I have to come up with indoor projects to keep me interested.

Here is a common mistake I have made, going all the way out to a spot, and then realizing that your battery is practically empty, and you forgot to charge your spares.  Pray you get what you need in what life you have left in that battery.

I think #5 can be completely subjective. I personally LOVE elements of negative space in some of my photos, but that's just my style. If done correctly, negative space with the sky can be beautiful and intriguing!

Great video! I enjoy your simplistic approach. I"m hoping that i will remember it when out in the field; where i tend to forget everything. Sad, but true! Keep up the fantastic work.

One of my mistakes is to think if it looks sharp/focused on the LCD screen, it will also be so on the photo. I shoot a lot in low-light conditions (caves).

Hi there, my common and usual mistake :( I go out to shoot for birds, then suddenly I find that the landscape around is really worth some photos, but oh boy! I don't have a smaller lens with me hehehe, so...either taking a little portion of the lanscape with my 100-400, or none!!!

I almost died few times hiking and getting closer to the subject when I left my tele at home. Or looking for perfect position on the edge of the rocks. So sometimes you have to put your life at risk in order to get a great shot.

Do you just happen to live nearby those forests and lakes where you shoot your videos and take your photo's ? Or do you travel all the way out to the forest ?
