This is one of the most clear, simplified but still correct explanations of a CI I've ever heard. Many parents don't bother to learn about the actual equipment and processes. I can tell you actually genuinely understand Cooper's implants, which is awesome! Source: I'm an audiologist.

I don't know what you do for a living, but it's not health system related, if I remember correctly. So you got highest respects for explaining it this well👍
Especially cos it's been a good while since you've got education on that due to your boy getting that implant.

I have sensorineural hearing loss. But I am able to have 70% hearing left. I use a hearing aid and I’m not a candidate for a cochlear implant but I appreciate you showing us what’s it like being with cooper. It’s so fun to watch with cooper being a goofball

Thanks for this explanation. I'm working on a documentary of a deaf lacrosse player at my college with few other students. He developed meningitis at 4 months old and there was a bad snow storm to where his parents had to wait a day or two to take him to be seen because the doctors didn't want them driving in the storm. He lost his hearing and wears cochlear implants now... Very awesome dude and so kind too.

I always windered how the bit attached to the head stayed there. Thanks for the information - it's fascinating. I've watched several of your shorts: they're full of positivity and love; you and Copper are amazing ❤

I lost hearing in my left ear due to a stroke when i was 23. The stroke was caused by a major heart infection and sepsis. I was hopeful i could get a cochlear implant for that ear but unfortunately the hearing is 100% gone so the implant wouldnt be able to help me. It took a while to adjust with only 1 ear but it has its blessings too. Overall, I'm so grateful they are available for people that need them and provide a way better quality of life ❤

Thank you for explaining how the implant works. I had no idea this existed till you started with tiktok.
Beth you are truly an amazing person because I see how much patience you have with Cooper. He's such a beautiful child and has incredible parents and doctors helping him with his hearing and living a full and wonderful life.
As Cooper gets older he has the tools to deal with anything that gets in his way because of you Beth. You are an incredible Mom. 🙏

I only recently learned that you still need certain parts to be viable for a cochlear cause my moms friend had a baby that is deaf and they're gonna try for one. Thankfully we're near a very good deaf school that even has free classes for babies so this baby has been going
