I had an intermittent issue with my anti-lock braking system (ABS) and brake dashboard lights coming on while driving my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 for almost 6 months. I found a loose ground bolt for the Electronic Brake Control Module (ECBM) and tightened it. Haven't had a problem since. Save money by doing it yourself.

Great video. Although this didn't fix mine.
The ground in my dash connector was loose, I cleaned it and placed a plastic wedge in the back of A8 and that fixed my issue. I used a straw from a brake cleaner can. I hope this helps someone.

Also had a aftermarket alarm & remote starter put on, thought something got fried, a loose ground can cause so much headache.

Awesome, I thought was nuts, I'd go out to start my truck, before even putting key in, hit brake pedal & dash would ding & parking lights came on, when running I'd tap the exhaust @ tailpipe and brake lights would light up 😂dam gm.

Didn't work for my truck. I removed the cables and scrubbed them down with a wire brush and tightened them down tight and the lights are still on.

How were you able to pinpoint the source? What year is your vehicle? You zoomed to the EBCM, but where is it relative to the rest of the vehicle.
