In my humble opinion, no trip to Barcelona would be considered complete without a visit to La Sagrada Familia. La Sagrada Familia has been under construction for over 130 years but there is finally an ending in sight - 2026, on the 100th anniversary of Antoni Gaudi’s death.

Modernism and modernisme are not the same. Gaudi predates modernist architecture and his designs are modernisme or aka catalan modernism which much closer to the art nouveau style.

all that just to display his mosaics on the top, been there about 4 times first visit 1982, 130yrs is nothing when building these works of art
