MemeAnalysis returns with a special look at a special creature, the Hedgehog. We look at their symbolism, their role in fairy tales, and their form in ancient amulets. And of course, the true origins of Sonic the Hedgehog in Archilochus and the I Ching.
Memes matter.

In polish language there exists a query devoid of a singular fundamental answer, thereby it is often posed to very young children, allowing adults the opportunity for driving them into inner cofusion without the resolution to it. The query is: "Where does the hedgehog goes by night?" Among the most "acceptable" responses to this inquiry stands "to eat, " as it readily lends itself to childlike rhymes/nursery rhymes. However, I harbor skepticism towards this notion that the answer to this question is so mundanely simplistic. Your vid has prompted me to ponder upon this for a little while that alsted around fiveteen minutes, and I now perceive a certain profundity therein.
As an individual who has lived, lives, shall live, and likely perish within this polish cultural milieu of mine, I cannot perceive the hedgehog as a creature of non-lunar realm. Consequently, I regard it as a spesificly lunar creature, the creature of the moon, and therefore -- distinctly feminine. This intriguingly aligns with this Greek poem shown in your video concerning the hedgehog, which "knows one great thing." To my mind, this "thing" either pertains to the meaning of human existence per se (I shall presently expound upon my rationale) or one's own life, namely: hedgehogs possess an awareness of what constitutes the essence of existence FOR THEMSELVES.
Yet, why do I contend that another plausible response to the "great hedgehog question" is the meaning of life itself? This stems from the fact that since, from my cultural perspective, the hedgehog is perceived as lunar and thus feminine, one could relate this fact to ancient Greece, particularly to the Delphic Oracle, which was invariably depicted as the fountain of all wisdom and always portrayed as a woman (lunar). Hypothetically, it could be assumed that the Delphic Oracle would be capable of responding to the query: "Where does the hedgehog goes by night?" and by doing so, it can provide a response of a more general, rather than individualized nature.

Btw: I opine that the belief in the hedgehog's tendency to curl into a ball may also be linked to this polish question regarding "where the hedgehog goes, " as the sphere/circle is, in freudian (?) psychoanalysis, designated as yonic, and thus feminine.

Edit: Sorry for all typos; I'm a dummy

"All spherical creatures are mystical" wonder how this relates to Samus Aran from Metroid.

It is curious that the German Urkind was not used in the German language for sea or land urchins.
Hedgehog would be "Igel" and sea urchin "see Igel". Igel comes from the indogerman word "egel" which means snake. I would say another spherical or rather cicle creature.

There's some Sonic titles that make sense now, Sonic self-anointed as a knight in Sonic and the Black Knight, and Sonic and the Secret Rings was an Egyptian game about genies.

Sometimes blow on flies and try to keep track with them since that’s probably like a fun amusement park ride for them, too. flies might be a good video idea

Speaking about hedgehogs, I think you know about Chris Chan. Would you consider speaking about that topic someday?
