Ive had the pedal before and still have an actual vh4. Both are incredible but i do have to say this. The vh4 pedal does sound just like the vh4 preamp wise but obviously the main difference is you really have to have the power amp section of the real amp to get the full experience and thats really what you are paying for on the real thing other than the other three channels. The deep and presence knobs are part of the power amp and have a lot of versatility and change the sound of the amp drastically compared to the pedal. And The low end these things put out are unreal compared to any amp ive ever heard in my life. And when you’re able to turn these amps up they are a completely different animal. The sound of these things are to die for and in my opinion are worth the money regardless of price. And its hard to say that till you play one.

I have a Diezel vh2, and it's amazing. The clean tone is perfect, especially for a high gain amp, and you can add in all the bass you want, without making palm mutes woofy.

I used to have this pedal, damn why did I sell it? I used it as a second preamp into the fx loop return from a fender hot rod deluxe (modded and with an alnico gold speaker). One of the best pedals I ever bought.

I don’t even get plug ins. I’m old school. Do you play through your computer and use like computer monitors to hear your guitar? What exactly are people doing with these plug ins? I guess I’m old school but I still smoke actual weed and play tube amps with pedals.
