Even in paradise there is dangers. Not many people know but there are American crocodiles in Key West especially in the canals. Unlike their cousins the alligator's, crocodiles are even more aggressive and should not be underestimated. 🐊

As a 3rd gen Conch (native Key West) the crocs are not indigenous Florida wildlife like the gators! They were brought in illegally from South America and worked their way from the Everglades to the Florida Keys! They're a nuscance and have eaten small dogs! As if our own over populated gators weren't already a problem we now have big snakes and crocs! But everywhere theres wildlife and bears, wolves, coyotes, cougars, panthers, deers and moose need room to roam and over population is the problem! We stole their land!

They never mess with people. There's never been anyone that has ever been hurt by a crocodile in the Florida Keys.
