I actually would love to have this. I travel with my children often, so to have this so we can all play together would be GREAT.

I customized my joycon grips with black and white floral and grass print contact paper. I did the same with my dock (taped on for easy removal if I ever want/need to change it) so it all matches now and is pretty cute! Ive found that the contact paper will come off easily without any damage to the grip, just a bit sticky. The hardest part is cutting the paper to the right size and shape.

I got a Smatree hardshell case for my switch, inner foam has slots for the switch with controllers attaches, a removable piece for the clear shell you can put on the switch, the dock, two holes for the joycon rails, and a slot for the joycon controller dock(without the joycons in it). it also features a zippered pocket in the lid where you can put any number of things that aren't too big, and a flap that can hold up to 21 physical gamecards. It didn't cost me too much but I definitely am enjoying it because I really don't like my equipment dropping when not in use on the go, and it certainly gives peace of mind

I’m a truck driver. I have one of these cases for the ps5, Xbox series X, and switch. They come in so clutch. Stay sturdy in the rig too

I’d love it even more if it had a portable charger to charge it mabey 6-9 hours of playability

Perfect for military that’s always on the move from either changing units/barracks or going on deployment. Also great for people that travel via plane or cruise. Since lots of extra controllers and switches fit in there. Would perfect to play with friends or family on the go. Excessive, yes; worth it, kinda for those that fit the criteria above.

I would say this is kinda practical for smash/fgc meetups and tournaments. Probably can cut out the foam to be Xbox/PS shaped and swap the power chords.

My brother and I had one of these for the 360 back in the day. We'd fly with them too, because at one point we lived across the country from my dad so we flew a lot.

i remember doing family cross country vacations and the gamecube had a screen that you could attach to the top that my brother and I used to play so this for my kids for road trips is super nostalgic and awesome.

Its actually perfect if you want to play with someone while on the road, in train or simply on vacation and you want to play with someone but you won't be carrying separate screen say, when in the mountains or at the beach. But this will let you do it, without the inconvenience of small screen (for 2+ people). And like you said it's heavy enough to be steady while someone is driving.
I would also say that some pickpokets will notice you play on switch and might want to steal it from you later, but when they see you have your case open (looking in on your front, not from your back), then they would think you are just doing something with your luggage. Not to mention it's hard to steal something big and heavy. Personally i would love to have it and be able to spend half an hour playing games on my switch while in the train, going to work every day, but i don't want to play on the switch "in the open view". I only once played with my switch on the train and i was in the corner and my switch was inside my backpack, so it was quite inconvenient for me.
This thing seems awsome, though i don't need so many slots for controlers. For me a case for docked switch, with charger and 2 controlers MAYBE with room for 2nd switch would be enough. That is to say it's too big for me (and too expensive) but i bet many people will find it useful.

They make these for pretty much every console, they're relatively useful for people who live on the road, such as truck drivers, seems excessive if you go home or to a hotel every night, but if you want to play on a bigger screen, (or in the case of other consoles, play at all) some truckers have a TV in their truck, but there's not really a way to put a TV away to save space.
