I followed the same steps, but when I go to 'Object' and click 'Quick Liquid, ' the water animation preview doesn’t look like yours. Instead, it moves in waves from both sides, starting automatically before the object impacts the water. There’s also no splash effect on impact.

how was the cube converted to liquid? just started blender.your solution was to bake mesh over particles how do i do that?
