As a woman born and raised in Germany it NEVER occurred to me that it is somehow a typical behavior for Germans to open a bottle with basically anything until my Thai friend brought it to my attention in my late twenties🤣

I was in Munich and I saw a waitress placing beers on a table for the customers but she had more on her tray for other tables. One of the girls stood up and knocked the tray, the waitress saved every drop of those steins with what i can only guess was Bavarian Beer telekinesis.

When I went to a music festival in Germany somebody gave me a free bottle of beer. At my tent, I realized I didn’t have a bottle opener. This dude nearby said he’s help and proceeded to rip it off with his fkn teeth and handed it back to me. I was both grateful and absolutely horrified
