Change, "but" with "however." Human mind will disregard the statement before "but" and will only focus on the part after it.
Her idea is on point, however, the choice of word makes it counterproductive.

I don’t think we’re understanding the same concept of the subject. Maybe you could elaborate more absolute and quit pandering to my feelings so we can avoid the confusion later on when we get to deep in the conversation just to see we disagree and caused a lot of confusion.
