The hollowpoint issues most likely comes about because of Philly's proximity to New Jersey, where hollowpoints are illegal.

I know so many people who believe they can’t carry in Philly even with a LCTF. Also a lot of people seem to believe you can’t (not saying you should) carry in a bar or even be drunk while carrying.

Philadelphia thinks they are they’re own entity. They believe that they don’t have to follow Pennsylvania gun laws and they come up with they’re own laws.

My daughter lives in Philadelphia currently, and I had a cop see my gun “printing” through my shirt. He said I’d better not have hollow points in the magazine. I said “why not, Pennsylvania law says I can”, he proceeded to tell me that Philadelphia has they’re own laws on hollow points, and I couldn’t have them. Told him to arrest me and we’ll go play in court.

He turned around and walked away.🤷🏻‍♂️
Now, why go through all that with me? To intimidate me maybe? Not happening officer friendly………….

The misconception in Philly probably exists because of their proximity to the eastern block state of NJ where this is the law. Sorry Philly.

#1. You should point out that under Federal law, a bequest of a firearm does not have to go through an FFL even across state lines providing state laws don't prohibit it.

that part about a loved one getting in trouble is not true i know someone who was charged with allowing their son to get possession of a shotgun they owned when the son was not allowed to have guns they were charged for the son taking their gun

Good video. Thank you. MY question is a little bit different. I live in New York. I have both NY and Pa carry permits. (Pa. non-resident concealed carry.) IF I am pulled over by the police in Pa. am I obligated to tell the officer that I have a weapon on me?
