I have watched this video many times and felt bad that you have lost interest in your schoolwork. I see that no one has made any comments to boost your interest or give you a little motivation to carry on. Let me tell you about me and it may help you a little.
I have just graduated from Capella with BSN. It took me 3 terms to finish it. I was ready and totally capable of completing it in a shorter period of time, but the teachers were sending my assignments back to me for corrections every time. I have practically sent every assignment 3 times for every course to get a grade that I should have gotten for the first submission. Most teachers at Capella operate like a run-away train and made me so miserable with every assignment. I do not remember the name, but a former Capella student said that "you really earn that degree"!!!!

And he was correct!!!!

I really really really EARNED my degree. I have never been more depressed in my life. I have never been more miserable in my life. I have never been more anxious in my life. I have never been angrier in my life. I did NOT know that attending Capella can make me that unhappy for the entire time spent at Capella. I went through all that the entire 9 months but I had to just do it slower and give them more money to extend my progression to another term and SPREAD THE MISERY OVER A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME which makes it more tolerable at a smaller dose. I gave myself time to recover from being angry and depressed. Many times it took me a whole week to calm down from the stupidities that they were putting me through. During that week I did not do anything related to Capella homework. AND believe me, I had many of those kinds of weeks.

It took me 3 weeks to figure out how to do the first assignment for the first course. It took me 1.5 months to finish the first course. all the other courses, took me at least a full month to complete. it took me the entire week or more to do the first assignment for each course, and the teacher would send it back to me for the corrections she required even though I have addressed everything in the rubric, and then it would take me another 3-4 days to do the corrections and send it back to the teacher and then she would send it again for another correction and I had to take another 3-4 days to do another correction. Even when you write everything that is required by the rubric, they still send it back and write you a comment saying, "THIS SECTION NEEDS MORE
I was so frustrated the entire 9 months and I would talk to myself and tell myself "WHY I AM DOING THIS TO MYSELF"!!!
One assignment required only 2 pages and I followed the rubric to ONLY SEND 2 PAGES, the teacher sent it back to me and wrote a comment that she needs more information on this and that. I ended up writing 6 pages for a 2-page assignment per rubric. It took me a week to get over my anger.

I told myself, well, I put myself in this predicament, and I will get myself out of this misery.

I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend Capella to even my worst enemy unless they control the teachers who are not following the school's rubrics. I had 8 different teachers and most of them should not be teaching and rain down horrors on students' lives.
Unlike their advertisements saying that it is self-paced, every week they harassed me to turn in an assignment and threatened me with administrative withdrawal. I was so fed up with teachers and their cute requirements that I had to slow it down and just do what the teachers were requiring. AND YOU COULD SAY that I have also LOST INTEREST AND DEPRESSED THE ENTIRE 9 MONTHS.

Well, now that you are in it and halfway through, slow down, do not try to send too many assignments too fast, take a smaller dose of misery, and over time you will be successful.
What people do not know is that how much work you have to do for each course and each assignment. AND they will not tell you that till you register for the program, and then you realize that every course has writing assignments, video, and PowerPoint. And they specify that your video and power points MUST BE ESTATICALLY PLEASING FOR THE AUDIENCE!!!!
There are teachers that will not give you good grades on video or PowerPoint regardless of how good it is. What I did not know was that I needed to be a Hollywood producer to get a good grade on videos and PowerPoints. AND that is what they are looking for, and you will become helpless, hopeless, anxious, angry, and depressed.
I did not know anything about making videos or PowerPoint, but I learned it from those great people on youtube, and my wife thinks that I am a computer genius.
I am not a computer geek. I do not comment online that often. This is my second comment ever on youtube. The first comment was for a lady that was leaving her nursing career for good. I thanked her for her contributions and wished her great success.

SO, to end this entry, I wish you luck, I will pray for you, slow down, take a smaller dose of depression, and keep trucking.

Hi Laly! I was doing some research for RN to BSN, I honestly didn't know I can get my masters from RN until I came across your videos! Super cool you're doing that, I feel so freakin inspired to consider this route instead. Just a few questions if you don't mind (:
- How much RN experience did you have before starting your MSN? Is it a requirement to have? I'm a new RN with no work experience yet, just LPN experience
- Although its online will there be courses where you have to complete clinical hours at clinics, hospitals, etc?
