Neither the wet towel nor the soapy water tricks worked for me but I'm convinced I have grabs. Obviously, I have dead patches, but I also have a heap more bird activity and small wasp-looking critters hovering around the affected areas. Could it be a specific type of bug?

Yep. I noticed my lawn last year looking patchy and I had a lawn care company applying solution but they did a crappy job. They treated for weeds, dandelions, crab grass and grubs. Paid all the money and still had everything. Today, I was pulling a few dandelions and saw a grub which I wasn't surprised. I'm going to try this and hope it works. Not paying companies that promise but don't deliver.

that towel trick is awesome, however, i would use it to harvest and fry the little things in some garlic and chili paste

Damn I have a gub problem in my lawn for years now but unfortunately no pest control for grubs allowed to buy in Germany. Any advice?

I started a worm farm with worm eggs & vege scraps. It got to wet so I was adding a couple of handfuls of dry lucerne from a plastic packet I’d had for a while. My farm is fill of what look like small (baby) grass grub.
1. Will they eat my worm eggs?
2. I can’t find a picture of small grub so how can I tell? Definitely not maggots or anything else I know.
I don’t want to waste lucerne unless you think that’s were they are from.
3. It’s expensive to set up a farm. If it is grub and they don’t eat worm eggs can I soak everything in soapy water without killing the worm eggs or would you throw out everything and begin again.
Desperate for help, been gardening 40 odd years and am baffled.

I have yellow patches around my lawn but unsure if it's grubs..I have buffalo. I'll check with soapy water

I plan to dethatch and Reno maybe end of October or so. So is it worth putting down the grub guard spray before the Reno ?

What could I use if I prefer a more organic method of killing the grubs? Please.

Can we talk about the unmanned lawn mower in the background?!? Is that like a Roomba for a lawn?

I had them in my lawn last summer. How likely are they to come back? I'm rather paranoid about them now.

Lawn grubs become either Moths or Beetles. Good luck keeping them out or off (or under) of your lawn. Best thing is Pay Attention. Stop it before it gets out of hand. Like it or not adult grubs (beetles) demonstrate you have a healthy soil. Collect them and move to an area of less concern.
