Leave the old pads in when prising apart with a screwdriver. Works for cars and motorcycles too.

Easier to unfasten 2 hex screws and remove the brake instead of removing the tire, especially if a rear tire.

Is there a way to know what kind of pads my brakes use? I've seen that it says what kind they use on the disc, but only the ones that use resin. Mine doesn't say anything.

I have some Tektro YC970 installed in a bike a long time ago, what is the closest offering equivalent today? I tried E10.11 but they are not the same compound, the latter are softer. Regards

changing is not an issue at all (don't forget the install security springs on the end of the bolt) just how to get the disc back between the tight brake pads.
