I just installed the Rago fabrication modular dash plate with Ram mount in that location in my Tundra this past weekend.

Very sturdy and solid mount. I use the Hondo Garage mounts that connect to your dash vents. They are made for the Tacoma but work perfect in the Tundra. I have them matched up with “Ram Mounts” accessories for the phone and the iPad. I wish every body would mount their phones instead of holding it in heir hand and trying to drive.

Rob I’ll have to check out your other video, on how you made the bracket on the dash!! Anyway those ram mounts are awesome we use those and all of our equipment to hold iPads and everything else that you want to, i’ve got the big suction cup mount for an Ipad in the combine, Mounts on right on the side window, very nice they work well very stout!!

My biggest concern with phone mounts at this height (almost head level) is when you get in an accident, specifically rear ended, that phone will become very dangerous projectile. If I could recommend incorporating a retention strap, or at a minimum much stronger magnet considering the weight the phone. I personally do not like unsecured objects at steering wheel level or above especially when the air bags go off. Just my .02

I am thinking to get a 2022 Tundra Limited with off road package, 3 inch lift, 6.5 bed, and tow mirrors, when it comes out. I'm hoping there will soon be some good mods to get ride of the unsightly chrome that I already cringe at.
Just not sure which engine to go with. Ironically, the base engine will have more towing and payload capacity than the hybrid engine (because of weight).
