we are all guilty of over consumption and the need to keep buying to stay on top of trends, show off our expensive clothes/car/etc... but if you aren't saving and over consuming, its keeping your bank account dried UP

Girl love this content. I’ve learned so much about this topic. And I’m living simple and I’m happier. I don’t even get my nails done anymore neither do lash extensions that was pricey. Now I live day by day paying my bills and only buying the necessities. I’m working on my emergency fund and getting out of this trap. It’s been hard to save because it’s seems like things break, car issues, etc.
But I got this.

I’ve been able to get out of credit card debt and that relief of finally getting out of that is amazing, stability feels great now that I’m older.

Great discussion topic! Love it, one thing that always pops in my head is how quickly trends come and go. I currently tell myself that if there’s a piece of clothing, item, or even a tattoo that I want -> I need to sit and wait 3-6 months before purchasing or going with it and 95% of the time the trend is gone and I no longer crave the item or permanent life decision lol It’s saved me so much.

Really good topic. I don't get nails/facials or anything done much. I don't really overspend. I always ask myself if it's something I need. Still looking for work and studying still. I really want to learn how to invest as I have a dream to buy 2-3 properties. Feels depressing but I'm glad I follow you. I learn so much from your videos over the years. I think it's mindset end of the day. I don't care for material things much either.

I think about this EVERY DAY! It’s so hard when I’m seeing all these things on Instagram and I feel the need to get the newest clothing or makeup when I have ENOUGH. Definitely also starting to think the same things before I make a purchase! Thanks for sharing such a candid and controversial opinion. I feel like it’s gotten harder with social media influencers- though I know it’s coming from a good place, like them trying to honestly share great products but setting boundaries may have to be a priority to avoid getting sucked in to buying every single thing I see 😅

Enjoyed the vid! Agree with so much you are saying but I have to say I'm not sure I get why people our age living in expensive cities like LA (London in my case) are saving money longer-term without a specific goal. What is it for? Is it for a house that thanks to the UK's situation you won't be able to buy for another 15 - 20yrs? I totally get saving for safety, in case you lose a job or want to leave, but for no specific reason... I just don't get it

It's a cycle that many people are in, I also believe it can be a generational thing. I know my parents never demonstrated to me good money habits and even now I'm still trying to learn healthier habits with spending, we aren't taught these things.

Good topic! Just turned 28 in April, got my house at 27 with my husband and we both drive our 2013 college cars & the amount of people that want us to upgrade is so wrong! I’m still in student loan debt tho & they can eff off (haven’t paid & don’t care! lol have a balanced day love!
