I hope this will come in the upcoming update, this fall. Also, Ctrl+T and Ctrl+W open and close tabs as you'd expect. They still need to add the ability to reorder tabs, drag files over them and drag them out into individual windows. Super excited for this!

Thanks mate, strange that I used to have it by default on Windows 11 insider Beta channel, then upgraded to the build 22622.290 (the one with features ON) and found that Explorer tabs are gone !! now this fix brought it back again

today i got 22581 update in BETA channel and try enabling tabs . command worked but no anychanges happen...

vivetool is now 3.1 and this command no longer works...something about using/enable ?

Do I need to uninstall t his feature I downloaded after the Windows 11 update where this is included comes along?
Or does it not matter and will it automatically delete/overwrite it? Thanks

Wild to think that tabs in file explorers have been a thing for a long time in other operating systems (i.e. GNU/Linux), and no one bats an eye. But as soon Micro$oft adds the feature in their OS, everyone starts fangirling and saying they wanted this since the day they were born.

How to make open new tab anyway even the file explorer is opened by other software, because when I choose "oppen the file location", it always create another window for Explorer.exe.

I don't have terminal preview, i just have terminal. and when i open terminal with administrator, it opens it with power shell, and has this line of text already written: "PS C:\Users\name (private info)>" it shows my name, I just changed what is shows here so you don't see my real name. if I open command prompt with administrator, it has this line of text: "C:\Windows\system32>" Help?

I have latest windows 11 pro updated as on 25th Oct still these features are not there. Also vivetool commands have changed now.
