“It’s in 11 minutes. I have plenty of time.”
“It’s in 9 minutes! I don’t have enough time!! Why did I wait so long!?”

With someone with ADHD I can say this is what I do- most of the time

It’s either the appointment is 10 min away and you’re distracted, or it’s in 5 hours but it’s all you can think about and you can’t do anything but worry about it

Forgot to mention that they barely slept the day before and couldn't do anything because they were waiting for the appointment... but only actually managed to get ready 20 minutes before the appointment

Thank you for using official criteria! I really don’t like the trend of vauge symptoms that could apply to almost any mental disorder/illness

It’s also realistically portrayed!! Like we aren’t straight up like squirrel it’s more like we get reminded of something vaguely related to the topic and feel the need to passionately share that sort of connect that was made between topics

‼️ I feel like crying because I have recently begun to finally understand this is my condition and facing the trauma that caused this condition on the little girl i once was… is so hard and heartbreaking. I feel that nobody around me understands me and just thinks I’m a silly airhead who needs to grow up. I feel like I’m not a “real” adult.

I don't have ADHD, but my brother does, and this is one of the first videos where I can see this EXACT situation happening with him. Great portrayal, and shows what it can be like for an outside person looking in

I love how these are symptoms both common in hyperactive and inattentive ADHD, most people overlook the latter so I'm happy it's getting more attention!

So true! I have 3 calendars (phone, journal, wall), 3 alarms (wakeup, get ready, leave), and a night-before routine where I toss everything I may need for my appointment...and I still panic about what I may be forgetting. 🤣

This is why i keep all my go-to essentials in one easy to see, easy to grab habitual spot to avoid these painful scenarios. Really helped

“Actually did I tell you about that because..” in the middle of a completely unrelated conversation SO ACCURATE 😭

The fact you can experience almost every symptom in less than a minute is so painful. Everything hits you one after the other with no breaks from it 😭😭😭

Yeah the talking excessively, being easily distracted, and losing things are my main symptoms or the ones most noticeable. But I also am very inflexible and need organization yet I’m very disorganized. Worst symptom in my opinion to have is talking, it sucks, I wish I could just be able to keep everything in my head instead of blurting it all out. I feel so dumb sometimes

As someone with ADHD it’s a very painful experience, especially in public

I have significant adhd but also have anxiety. The anxiety keeps me in check….and crazy lol

I do most of these things, but I just started to get ready 4 hours earlier than I need to and set 50 million alarms so when I inevitably get distracted it's not a huge problem and I can get pulled out by my alarms

Your description of ADHD is so spot on. Thank you for your content and normalizes what we go through.
