Do you feel like the mod works? Does it 1) actually extend the burn time in the hopper i.e. a single hopper fill up lasts longer? 2) does it add more smoke flavor?

Have they updated the vent? How would you have it set on a hot still summer day versus a cold windy winter day? Also, do you think they will have a memorial day sale, or release a newer updated version?

Can anyone recommend any mod to the manifold to block the direct heat to make the bottom rack (grill grate) less hot so the bottom grill grate can be utilized to pack more meat in the smoker?

Nice review! I just bought a $1050 on clearance, I have not put it together yet. I was wondering which Mods do feel are essential for the 1050? Klod Mods and LSS makes a lot of modifications, and if I listen to them, they would say all of the Mods they offer are essential. Just asking your honest opinion.
