Can somebody please help me. Mine doesn't work, first time I've tried to use it. I follow these directions, but the fan never comes on. I just get cool smoke rolling in the grill and it doesn't heat up, I've double, triple, quadruple checked the connectors, nothing happens.

Does it matter how much charcoal you put in the hopper? Meaning, if you load quite a bit can that last you for awhile or do you want to only load what you plan on using for that particular smoke?

My charcoal grate doesn’t really jiggle like that. I can tap it and get some of the ash to fall but not as much as you did. Did I assemble something wrong there?

As I put the charcoal in the briquettes fall through the grate into the ash bucket. Do I just keep pouring until they catch and then put the briquettes from the ash pan back into the hooper?
