Kick Out Of The Egg House Cafe Denton Texas!

I decided to get breakfast and found this place on yelp. I walked in and the hostess asked me how many in my party. I said one, he said it would be a few minutes. I asked where their restroom was, I noticed that the restroom floor was flooded with water.
After I got seated told the waiter that the bathroom needed some attention, that it was flooded. He told me that I could leave if I was not happy with the restroom. I said no it’s all right. He said no you need to leave, you are not happy with our bathroom. I said I was just letting you know that the restroom needed some attention. He say you can have a good day somewhere else. He was real polite about the whole thing, but I was not to stay and eat there.
I said really? You are kicking me out because I complained about the restroom. He said, you can have a good day somewhere else and pointed to the door.
I left and I was polite about the whole thing. Before I hopped on my motorcycle I noticed that my hands were shaking and I was upset about the whole thing.
I can’t believe I got kicked out of the restaurant because I complain about the restroom.
They had the right to refuse service to me, and I respect that. Was it fair? No, it was not fair and it is their lost. They get 1 star and I don't recommend that you don't go there!

Can business owners really refuse service to anyone?

Went there with my husband a little over a year ago. Food was okay. While we were eating they were doing an interview next to us. The manager told the young lady that she should expect harassment and that it was part of the job. And if it wasn’t okay with her she would need another server to deal with it because it wasn’t worth a manager’s time…

There is more that you're not telling. He wouldn't kick you out for reporting a flooded restroom as I've done that as well about a month ago when the toilet was leaking. No problem. It was fixed within a day or two. I eat there weekly. Food is AWESOME as is the service. So, you're leaving something out

Probably nice people but running a business (especially food service) can do that to you. When I was there, I got the impression they're struggling, and it's taking a toll on the owner. Coupled w/ DCAD prop. tax-tenant lease increase, this will put any sm. busi. in a constant state of stress.
