I started taking ownership of my life very recently after being disappointed by people many times. Am in college and i always kept my friends first did what they planned to do and I was always the one who was in the ditch all the time. My grp of friend decided not to study for a test so i didn't. But when the test happened they were prepared enough to at least sit and not look dumb but I was the only one who didn't prepare shit and showed up thinking they wouldn't. Same was with assignments and office work. I used to wait for them and they never did.
Now i stopped waiting and counting on them.

I had a very bad mental plummet this morning, one that I’ve had many times before. I went in the shower to feel the warmth, feeling all of my bad feelings and thinking all of my awful thoughts. Coming to conclusions and resolutes, assumptions and backhands. But through all of that bad thinking, I eventually begin to turn. I don’t know how and I don’t know why, but I pull myself out from the very depths and emerge as a new butterfly. I felt so wonderful. When I have my shower moments, I only get out once I have the strength to stand up and smile to myself, knowing am enough and I am me. I am me, not what I have been conditioned to be. It’s like I’m reborn all over again. When I am purely me is when I will be happy, and make others just as happy.
