I’m taking this trip in September. I was born in Vancouver though grew up and live in the US. I’ll be 65 on my birthday this year and this is a bucket list trip for me. This video reinforces all the good feels and anticipation. Thanks!❤️

I’m Canadian and worked for the railway for 36 years. I’ve always wanted to travel this route and still do. But I also know the on time performance of Via Rail is not good. This is mainly because of the enormously long freight trains getting priority as they can’t stop in some sidings. So Via gets put in the siding. Also very old equipment. But if you have the time the beauty and scenery of this country is amazing. I kind of always feel bad for visitors from Europe and other countries that have exceptional high speed trains and on time service. Especially if they are on a tight vacation timeline. In the end I’m glad you and your brother enjoyed the trip and thanks for sharing my country with your viewers. Peace and Calm to all. P.S. Saskatoon is my hometown. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦

My husband and I took the train from Edmonton to Halifax for a family reunion in 2019. We reversed the trip on the way home. It was also a retirement gift to myself, I’ve always wanted to take the train. Enjoyed every minute of it!

Did this journey from Toronto to Vancouver in September 1968 on Canadian National railway. Accommodations were a sleeper -basically it looked like a coach car and pairs of seats converted to lower and upper berths with a curtain isolating you from the central aisle. So, it looked like a moveable dormitory! I paid student fare, and I recall it cost about $80 to a $100, meals included.

When I did this trip and first saw the hallway sleeping berths with the curtains I had to laugh because it reminded me of Some Like it Hot and I kept thinking of Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe partying in one of the upper bunks!

Only Chloe could make a restricted view from a train into a positive! Your reviews are always fair in that although horribly delayed and with a broken toilet and boredom kicking in, your personality sees the best in everything and everyone. Im very happy your little brother recovered sufficiently to enjoy part of the trip. Another wonderful upload! Many many thanks.

Great video - funny about the frequent stopping as that bothers Canadians too. The reason is that the railway was originally built by private rail companies that still exist today and they own the track. As a result, their freight trains get priority on signals

My wife and I did the trip from Vancouver to Jasper and back again after a short stay in Jasper.

It was so amazing, I had zero complaints.

I took this trip from my home town of Toronto to Vancouver in May of 2023 — it was magical! I plan to do it again in winter the other direction — the one you did, from Vancouver to Toronto.

My husband and I took the three day train trip from Winnipeg to Churchill. We slept in the cheapest option berth seats. Great during the day and very comfortable and roomy at night. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Lovely video Chloé! Canada is so beautiful in the winter! But Brahm definitely deserves another trip that does not involve a small train cabin or sleeping pod hahaha!
